The CARRY TELLS THE TRUTH
We just say it out loud
Most bag reviews will tell you everything about a bag except the one thing that actually matters — what it feels like to carry it.
Who is RC
I commute from the suburbs into the city five days a week. On weekends I'm on a trail. And throughout all of it — I ruck.
Rucking is weighted walking. Twenty to fifty pounds on your back, covering real distance. It started as a fitness habit. It became the most honest bag test I know. There's nowhere to hide at mile six.
Between the commute, the workday, the trail, and the ruck — every bag I carry has to perform across four completely different environments. With real weight. Every single day.
That kind of carry teaches you things no spec sheet ever will.
I bought the wrong bag
Not because I didn't research. I did. I watched every review. Read every thread. Bought bags that had thousands of glowing comments and looked incredible in photos.
Then I'd load them up. Wear them for a real day. And by hour three — I knew I'd made another mistake.
Nobody was telling me what I actually needed to know. How does this bag feel after wearing it fully loaded for eight hours straight? Not in a studio. Not for twenty minutes. In real life.
That question had no consistent, honest answer.
So I decided to build one.
